COURSE OVERVIEW
Inventory, Warehousing, Transportation, and Distribution Management are crucial components of supply chain management. It involves the management of inventory, warehouse facilities, transportation of goods, and the distribution of products to customers. Warehousing management involves the management of warehouse facilities, including the storage, handling, and movement of goods. This course seeks to provide students with the right skills to master the requirement of warehouse and inventory management. It covers all the areas of knowledge that a person needs for successfully managing a warehouse and its inventory such as conceptualizing how to receive, arrange, maintain the quality of products in the medical store, and many more.
The course also covers transportation and distribution management, which involves the planning and coordination of delivering persons or goods from one place to another. Transportation managers are responsible for the complete reception and effective shipment of cargos for a trading company. They also deal with the safe and reliable transportation of passengers, as well as developing shipment relationships and partnerships.

At the end of this course, students should be able to:

- Introduce students to the cost associated with inventory, warehousing, transportation and distribution management and related services.
- Provide students with knowledge about the various controls and information systems for managing inventory, warehousing, transportation and distribution.
- Introduce students to the Ghana integrated logistics management information system for managing health and pharmaceutical products.
- Equip students with the pharmaceuticals inventory, warehousing, transportation and distribution regulatory frameworks.
